This is not a genuine Scottish Power call. They rang me multiple times, so I contacted the real Scottish Power directly and confirmed the number has already been reported to their management.
It appears this was a legitimate call from Scottish Power. They already had accurate details about the outstanding balance on my closed account and arranged a direct debit using the information on file, only asking me to verify the last two digits for confirmation.
Caller rang about a supposed bill, claiming to represent both Scottish Power and Vodafone, which seems highly suspicious.
